PINK is delighted to present Forlengelser, a work at the intersection of choreography and exhibition, bringing together the choreographic practice of Rannei Grenne and the visual and spatial practice of BUTCHER & CORREIA.

The project begins on 15 October with a hosted dinner that brings together the artists and invited participants for conversation around the work. This forms part of the project’s development and is followed by two public performances on 17 and 18 October, when audiences are invited to encounter the work.

Emerging from Grenne’s continuous dance practice of more than ten years, Forlengelser asks what it means to stay with a practice over time: to repeat, attend, question and allow it to change through contact with other bodies, materials and ways of working.

The work begins from the idea that dance and choreographic practice can be political acts in themselves. This politics exists through what the work represents, but also through how a process moves, how it is structured, the choices that are made and how an artist continues to relate to a practice over time.

What place does the body occupy?
What shapes do we take and create?
What systems and habits guide our choices?
What changes when we repeat something again?

Turning inward to the body as a way of looking outward, Forlengelser returns to weight, contact, sensation, repetition and presence. Around Grenne’s moving body, BUTCHER & CORREIA extend the work through costume, material, scenography, sound and visual gestures, carrying the choreography outward into the room, its objects, architecture and audience.

Forlengelser was first produced at BABEL, Trondheim, in 2025. Its presentation at PINK continues an ongoing partnership between the two artist-led organisations that began in 2023.
